Position Description:
Reporting directly to the Director, Revenue Management, the Reservation Manager will be responsible for the following:
· Coordinate all operations of the Reservations Department including recruitment, scheduling, training and employee development.
· Responsible to ensure that the Reservation Department’s EES goals are met/exceeded.
· Responsible for establishing individual and team objectives in accordance with revenue/reservation/hotel goals.
· Problem solving and coaching staff in situations to ensure that guest expectations are met.
· Ensure budget is adhered to relating to the areas of payroll, AV and office supplies.
· Attend and participate in FO communication meetings, revmax, leadership, FO/CSM and sales meetings.
· Works closely with both the DRM & Sales Team in order to maximize revenues.
· Participate in package development and implementation
· Build and update rates and packages in IRIS/PM
· Conducts regular audits of PM, CRS, fairmont.com & GDS ensuring accuracy of rates, package information and availability.
· Hotel liaison between reservations and our Global Reservation Center.
· Manage OXI on issues/reservations when they arise
· Monitor & address inventory variances between CRS & PM
Qualifications
· Demonstrated strong leadership, team and communication skills is essential.
· Previous Front Office and/or reservation experience is a benefit.
· Highly detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and able to handle multi priorities under pressure.
· Comfortable working with various Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
· Excellent understanding of reservation systems and how they interact with property systems.
