Position Description:


Scope and General Purpose of Position:
-To aid in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Accounting Department by accurately invoicing all charge business and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger.
-Respond to all customer and staff inquiries while adhering to the standards required by the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
-To ensure accurate and timely billing of balanced accounts.
-Be able to communicate and solve guest inquiries, ensuring that guest inquiries (verbal & written) are handled promptly, and comply with all reasonable requests.
-Must liaise with all other departments, and verify all prices with price setting departments.
-To review, verify & correct (if necessary) all transactions from other departments
-To maintain records of advance deposits, apply as specified or refund as required
-To ensure the application of payments to accounts
-To perform a daily shift closing, or ensure all postings are aptly coded for the general ledger.
-To report all adjustments and commissions for month end processing
-Attend pre-convention meetings with clients & colleagues to discuss billing requirements
-Meet with Convention planners when requested, to review bill daily
-Filing
-To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the company’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, safety and environmental.
-Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
