Position Description:
Duties & Responsibilities
· Qualifying general sales enquiries, responding personally and directing to appropriate sales person
· Responding to enquiries, draft proposals/contracts from established and prospective customers in support of Sales Managers/Directors.
· Updating the sales activity log book on a regular basis.
· Making all arrangements for Site Inspections and Familiarization Tours including log book, room reservations, restaurants, amenities, activities, welcome cards, airport and other transfers, Delphi activities and bookings.
· Updating the weekly site sheet
· Assisting Sales Managers/Directors with Site Inspections/Fam Tours on property
· Responsible for work room, including maintaining current sales and promotional literature, ensuring ample supply of Sales Kits, and maintenance of fax, photocopier and telephones.
· Ensuring prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers. Coordinating with other departments within the hotel to ensure the distribution of pertinent information to all departments and maintaining an orderly work environment.
· Executing sales mailings, preparing and disseminates required month-end reports, attending all sales meetings.
· Providing secretarial duties as required, i.e. typing, filing, etc..
· All other duties as assigned.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
· A University Degree, Business School and/or Hotel School Diploma preferred.
· Past sales experience (internal or external) an asset
· Proficiency with Microsoft, Salesnet (Delphi) and Property Manager.
· Must have a complete knowledge of hotel’s services and facilities.
Must possess excellent communication skills. Must also be creative, effective and flexible and possess a high degree of professionalism, organizational, and administrative skills.
